JORDAHL® Anchor Channels are manufactured by Deutsche Kahneisen GmbH in Germany and are exclusively respresented in the United States by Decon® USA Inc. and in Canada by Continental Decon® Inc. The history of connecting steel to concrete begins with an invention of Julius Kahn, member of a Chicago family of architects, whose "Kahn irons" opened up completely new possibilities for construction with reinforced concrete. In 1913 Anders Jordahl, a Norwegian engineer, who introduced Kahn's reinforcing technology in Germany, developed the Anchor Channel by designing a C-shaped profile which was used as reinforcement and connection device at the same time.
